Project Overview
For this world renowned museum, PSE assisted in developing the security elements for on-site contractor access called the Contractor Suitability Program. This involved establishing policy/procedure for input, review, and final security adjudication of background information on contract support personnel. Issues included prioritizing contract types, defining associated risk, setting policy for performing investigation, and defining criteria for adjudicating information.
The parsing of contractor approval certificates for site access is of particular concern given the significant historical archival and potential for damage-whether neglectful or intentional.
A vetting process for determining risks and threats by contractor employees is necessary for the sensitivity of the archives and exhibits that reflect this fragile time in the world’s history.
The process developed by PSE provides a greater degree of certainty of background information on workers and establishes key guidelines in promoting safety and work place access by non-employees.
