PSE’s specialized services included:
- Detailed programmatic study PSE examined various technologies and manufacturers and developed an evaluation matrix as well as a list of recommendations. A total of nine manufacturers’ products were evaluated.
- Environmental sub-consultant bidding Due to the large size of the site area and the limited effectiveness of the duress transceivers, PSE conducted a bidding process for asbestos and lead certified environmental consultants/contractors to acquire beneficial pricing for the client. Following design development, PSE provided bid documents, received bids, and prepared recommendations.
- Various equipment layouts Three different equipment layouts for three recommended manufacturers were shown on the final permit and bid documents. Although unusual, it was necessary for fair bidding practices due to differences in technology, equipment, and solutions provided among manufacturers.
- Dual technology — fully commissioned A dual technology system was installed, providing infrared interior and RF exterior zones. Full commissioning was provided to ascertain continuity.
- User interface A touch screen graphical user interface is being provided for ease and accuracy of operation.
