Project Overview
Professional Systems Engineering, LLC served as security, data/telecommunications, and A/V design consultant on the $30 million renovation/expansion for the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA). With the $30 million expansion project, which involved the renovation of the Federal Building, PAFA stands as an icon to art education and learning as a valuable internationally recognized institution. Our designs complement the work of noted Philadelphia architect, Frank Furness. PSE updated the security for the existing historic Furness Building and provided the design and construction administration for the new security systems, telecom/data infrastructure and hardware, and A/V presentation/education environments for expanding into the 190,000 SF, 11-story, historic Federal Building adjacent to the historic Frank Furness property.
