Bergen County Jail Hackensack, NJ

PSE provided extensive security systems and communications infrastructure for this multi-phase project encompassing modern controls, surveillance, and communications. The $45 million addition spanned four years and 200,000 sq. ft. The facility was featured on CBS News for its modern appearance and applications of technology for the new millennium.

Lexington-Fayette County Detention Center, Lexington, KY

This multi-county authority required a“timeless” facility, one to serve well into the 21st century. The systems included extensive card readers throughout secured corridors, CCTV, touch screen PLC based controls and a state-of-the-art control center. An information technology RFP was also managed for all digital and analog communications including local and remote video conferencing. Security and communications systems accounted for $13 million of this $60 million project.

Virginia Beach Jail Virginia Beach, VA

This $45 million addition required extensive renovations to the existing jail. Phased in two parts, the new touch screen controls for security and computer life safety systems will be integrated for long-term facility improvements.

Eaton County Jail Charlotte, MI

This quick turn-around project required the contractor to work while occupied for a $1 million overhaul of all security systems. Complete distribution touch screen PLC controls replaced old relay systems. Newly integrated CCTV and intercom systems were designed.

Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center (PICC) Philadelphia, PA

PSE provided security consulting and engineering services including systems studies, master planning, design, bid, and construction administration for this 946 bed, 13 housing unit facility. Design, bid and CA services were provided for the Max. Wing J–Cell locking and life safety upgrades including PLC Controls, PC touch screen, UPS back-up power, upgrades and contol slider doors, Analysis of existing systems and wiring, Life Safety Code 101 Compliance and Emergency Manual Release, upgrades and contol slider doors.
