Job Description: Electrical Engineer

PSE is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work in a spacious new office with a team of professional engineers and designers. You will work directly under several ‘PEs’ gaining depth of understanding in the field, so you may pursue a ‘PE’. You will become involved with multiple phases of remarkable projects from conception through commissioning.

In many instances, our innovative projects involve consultancy with architects, MEP firms, and user agencies as some of the professionals with whom you will collaborate. Day-to-day functions include applying the fundamentals of electrical engineering, designing, planning, programming, and consulting. The design of CCTV surveillance, duress systems, command centers, video conferencing, and video arraignment are some of the protective building systems that define our high security, high-tech projects. Crucial project duties are comprised of preparation of reports, drawings, codes and standards, schedules, product and equipment research and, client budgetary input.

Preferred Requirements:

• Proficient understanding and/or aptitude for design of electrical systems, power distributions, PLCs, physical and electronics security systems, and other protective building systems.
• A desire to obtain Fundamentals of Engineering and/or other well-respected industry recognized certification, such as, PMP, NICET, and/or ASIS.
• Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent is desirable.
• Relevant work experience relating to design and/or employing building systems is a plus point.
• Familiarity with A/E/C or integrator environments.
• Good technical writing ability.
